The Thing with Finn by Tom Kelly

This book was good because it was funny and very silly. The best bit was when Finn chucked a brick through old Grundy’s window. I would say all children of all ages would enjoy this great book.

I like it because it was funny and a bit silly. My favourite bit was when the boy threw a brick through the window.

I was surprised that this book was in the 8+ section because it was a bit rude and confusing in parts. I think that it would be a 12+. I still enjoyed the book but not as much as I thought I would.

Charlotte, Ferintosh Primary

I liked the book because bits of it were funny and silly. The best bit was when Finn threw a three hole brick through old Grundy’s window and Finn was scared the cops would come to the door. I think the book would be suitable for all ages and I would recommend the book again and all ages would enjoy it.

Elle, Dornoch Primary

The book was a bit rude in parts and some bits I didn't understand. I thought that the beginning went on a bit too long as well.

Danny, Ferintosh Primary

I thought it was a bit too rude. I don't think the author got all his thoughts down on paper because bits of the book didn't make sense and the story jumped about too much.

Catriona, Ferintosh Primary

I liked it because it was funny but it was a bit too rude. Apart from that it was sad and quite good.

Kiera, Ferintosh Primary
