Animal Investigations: Red Eye by Susan Gates

This is a good book. It is all about a mission to kill Red Eye the evil seagull. Susan Gates is the kind of author that has ideas no one else would think of. Meriel is my favourite character because she can read animals' minds.

This was a very exciting book and has an unusual but great storyline. My favourite character is Meriel as she is very mysterious and never obeys the rules. She can also enter the minds of animals. I really enjoyed this book and hope that you also enjoy it if you decide to read this fantastic book.

If you are into stories of revenge and excitement you will like this book. It is a thrilling book. My favourite character is Meril because she can go into animals' minds. It is a great story.

Ellie, Dochgarroch Primary

Red Eye is about a mission to find out the truth about the evil Red Eye. Ellis is a very believable character because there is a good description of her and she reminds me of one of my running friends. Danny is less believable. I could really imagine where the story takes place.

I thought this book was very weird because well an evil seagull that takes over a town and those creepers are just plain weird! I think it is an alright book but come on chose a better subject next time Susan!

The book was ok but it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo weird - a smart seagull - come on Susan!

This novel is just fantastic, I felt like I couldn’t put it down. It tells the story of two orphaned children under the protection of an old retired naturalist. A boy turns up at their home, asking for help against killer seagulls attacking his town. This book leaks adventure and excitement, and even though some of the book’s features are not very original, the storyline definitely is. You would be mad not to read this book, so go on - try it!  Who knew seagulls could be so scary!?
