I kind of liked Kick Off.
It was more a boys’ book than a girls’ book . It was good but pretty boring. I
feel sorry for Jamie because his own mum and teacher and his best mate weren't
on his side.

Anna, Dornoch Primary
I liked the book because it was
about football and I enjoy playing football , but I wouldn't recommend it to
girls. It is more of a boys’ book because the main character was a boy and it
wasn't as good as the other books. It was a good book but not the best I read. I
don't have a favourite part because it's hard to choose but I enjoyed the book.
But it is more of a boys’ book than girls’.

Even though I'm not football mad
I'm still quite a fan of it. I think if you didn't like football, you wouldn't
like this book. I personally LOVED the book. Everything felt so real. You feel
scared when Jamie is scared and you can imagine how angry he felt when things
went wrong too. This book is BRILLIANT! I would recommend this book to anyone
who even slightly likes football. Almost every person in my class who read the
book liked it.

Caitlin, Lybster Primary
I liked this book because it
gives you information on how to play football.

Liam, Wick North
It was simply the best book I
ever read. I’M FOOTBALL CRAZY! 11 out of 10!

Jonathan, Lybster Primary
It was a most enjoyable read and
my fave book about football. I'm football crazy I would give it 385,000 million
stars!

A L, Lybster Primary
It was the best book of all the
books in the world.

Melanie, Lybster Primary
I give this book
5000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 x 1 million stars because it is
wicked and it is funny when Jamie Johnson missed the penalty.

RC, Lybster Primary
I thought my brother would like
it because it was more set for boys and thought if I was a boy I would enjoy it
but since I am a girl personally I didn't enjoy it. The thing I did like about
it was the football players comments on the front.

Ruth, Hilton of Cadboll Primary
I really enjoyed this book. I've
read a lot of football books and this one was the best. If you don't know
anything about football you will not understand this book at all.

Connor, Kinlochbervie Primary
With a believable storyline and
lifelike characters, this book is a very enjoyable read. My favourite character
was Jack as she loves football and has very helpful tips for her best friend
Jamie. Although this book is fun to read, you'd have to know quite a bit about
football as some of the book has slightly complicated “football talk”.

R.M, Dochgarroch Primary
I liked the part where Jamie
missed his penalty.

James, Wick North Primary
At first I thought I would not
like this book because I am not interested in football but it was actually one
of the best books I’ve ever read.

Sky, Hilton of Cadboll

I think everything in the story
was believable. I liked the phrase, "if you don't have enough money I
wouldn't mind giving you a couple of pennies to buy some clearasil". I
enjoyed the story but I think you would really enjoy the story if you were into
football.

Alison, Dochgarroch Primary
This book is fantastic. Everyone
will enjoy it because it is funny and it is one of those books you cannot bear
to close. My favourite character is Jack because she is friendly and is short
tempered like me! I'm not a football fan but I enjoyed it.

Isabella, Dochgarroch
Primary
Jamie Johnson, at the start of
the book, doesn't think he is good enough to get into Kingwood football team. He
doesn't like the hard work it takes or the toughness to do it. As I like
football too I thought he was very believable. I would give this a ten star
rating if I could. I cannot wait for the next book to come out.

JB, Dochgarroch Primary
I like the characters especially
Jack. I also thought the places were really real. It wasn't too short or too
long. I thought it was quite boyish though.

Holly, Grantown Primary
I liked the book. It was very real and I liked the characters especially Jamie.
The book is probably more for boys. It was good how he got his own back.. A good
book.
