Ivan the Terrible by Anne Fine

I liked how the author described the characters in a different way. I really enjoyed this book and I thought it was funny.

Gillian, Hilton of Cadboll Primary

I liked this book. It was the best out of all of them. It was fantastic!

Ruth, Hilton of Cadboll Primary

I thought the character Ivan was a bit over confident because he thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. However he made the book interesting to read.

Alexander, Lady Lovat Primary

I liked this book because I thought it was really funny. The character Ivan always said bad things about the teachers in Russia.

David, Lady Lovat Primary

This was a funny book and in some parts made me laugh out loud. It was a very believable story and I enjoyed it very much.

Matthew, Lady Lovat Primary

I would not usually read this kind of book. I liked the characters. The places were good. What was happening seemed real.

Freya, Kirkhill Primary

I liked the way Boris defends Ivan even when Ivan is insulting the school and all the teachers and children

Rhys, Inverness High

It was quite good. I liked the part at the start of the book when Ivan says something nasty in Russian, and Boris has to pretend he said something nice. I got a bit more into the book after a while though.

I did not like this book because it went off the subject and it did not make sense but I think the book would be good for people who like Anne Fine. I think it was good at the start because it was funny.

Jade, Hilton of Cadboll

I think it moved on too fast. I think it was funny how he called them names.

Sky, Hilton of Cadboll Primary

Thing’s that I liked about the book were as follows...............

1. It created a clear picture in my head.
2. I liked the bit where Boris defended Ivan when insulting the school.

The things that I didn't like were as follows............................

1. There was a lot of writing and quite long sentences.
