I really liked this book. It was
written about a very interesting topic and also a really important one. It has a
prologue at the start which helps you understand the history a bit better. The
Glossary of Kenyan words and terms at the end is also really useful and
interesting. I found the story really moving but the end does make you wonder
what happens next! I would recommend the book to ages 11+

It was a really good insight
into a topic lots of us know of, but not really much about, the South American
apartheid. It is a really moving story about friendship, betrayal and A LOT of
pressure, on both the side of black AND white. I also enjoyed this book because,
although it was set in Africa, almost all the main points of the book and many
of the things that happen make up our society today. I also learnt a bit about
African culture. However, it did seem to end quite suddenly (and sadly!!!!!). I
would recommend this book to children in the age range of 10-12. I would
actually give this book 4 1/2 stars out of 5, but I can't.
