The Devil's Breath by David Gilman

I very much enjoyed this book. The plot is very unpredictable and exhilarating. The changes in environment are dramatic and one begins to attach oneself to Max, who is compassionate yet brave in times of danger. One of the reasons I liked this book was Gilman's insight on the Namibian tribes. It's an intriguing attempt to delve into the spiritual side of a very different culture. Alex Rider fans will LOVE this book. This is a compelling and adventurous novel that I would highly recommend to all teenagers.

The Devil's Breath is about a boy whose dad goes missing and he sets out to find him in the deserts of Namibia. It's a danger zone and he soon gets caught up in things. People are out to kill him because of his dad (an explorer)'s notes. But then he finds out something...
This book is great and I would recommend it for 13+.

This a story about a boy called Max who finds out that his father has gone missing. He sets off to Africa to find him with the help of his friends !Koga and Kallie. What I liked about the book was that it was a gripping adventure so when you finished a chapter you want to find out what happens next. What I didn't like about the novel was that the book was too long and this was not the kind of book I would really read. I would definitely recommend this for teenage boys.
