I was quite disappointed with
this book. I certainly think that Doyle’s standards are low in this novel. The
chapters written about Grainne are very poignant and well written but I didn’t
enjoy following the story of the two boisterous boys as I thought it was all
very unrealistic. His simplistic style of writing was too over done to be
effective. It definitely wasn’t my favourite book but I know that a lot of
people who have read it would disagree with my opinions.
I thought this book was great. I
would recommend it to all ages as I thought it was fun-filled and a good
plot/story to read. 5 out of 5!
