Give me Shelter edited by Tony Bradman

I think this book is the saddest thing I have ever read . The stories really made me feel sad inside and not a lot of books can make me feel that way but I must admit it was a good book and the way the authors told the stories of these people’s lives really made me feel like I was actually living in their family especially “Baa and the Angels” by Nicki Cornwell that really made me sad.

Personally, I did not enjoy this book. The endings always ended the same. But I did like small patches of it. This is just my opinion though. I say anyone who has a way of getting a copy of this tries it and see what they think of it.

I enjoyed reading “Give Me Shelter”. It was very interesting and the characters’ situations were life like. It became very confusing in some chapters. The novel was also very heart-warming as I never knew life for children was like that.

It was sad and it opened my eyes to how terrible life for an asylum seeker is but I enjoyed reading it.

Georgia, Inverness Royal Academy

I liked the way you could feel what the characters were feeling; it had so much detail in it. It was a page turner, very hard to put down and it was the best book I ever read!
